Saturday 12 March KPG and KMG held a protest at the gate military unit near Xanthi in northern Greece, where American armored vehicles arrived to conduct joint exercises with the Greek army.
The demonstrators who gathered there held banners and chanted slogans, condemning the involvement of Greece in the imperialist war in Ukraine and demanding an immediate withdrawal from NATO, non-participation in the war, so that not a single Greek soldier was sent outside of Greece.
“No participation, NATO, get out of Greece”, “We do not choose the camp of robbers, our only hope is in the struggle of the peoples” – these are some of the slogans chanted by the protesters at the gates of the military unit.
The demonstrators expressed their solidarity with the soldiers and reiterated the position of the KKE that there should be no participation of our country in the imperialist war in Ukraine. Then they wrote on the asphalt near the military unit the slogan: “NATO killers, go home” (“ΝΑΤΟ killers go home”).
After that, the demonstrators marched through the central streets of the city of Xanthi.
