Shortly before 10 am, Crete was rocked by tremors measuring 4 on the Richter scale.

The surface earthquake was registered by the Geodynamic Institute. Its epicenter was located at a distance of 41 km southwest of Gavdos. According to the automatic solution of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center and the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the focal depth was only 8.8 km.

We remind you that the earthquake data coming from the Athens Geodynamic Institute and the European Mediterranean Seismological Institute are decisions of an automatic computer system, without the participation of a seismologist. As new data becomes available, they are constantly updated.
