OAED: subsidy up to €36,000 for entrepreneurs, apply

The expanded OAED Second Business Opportunity Program, with a focus on women and the digital economy, is “open” to those who have ceased their business before 2022.

Starting today, Wednesday March 9, those unemployed who have stopped their business before 2022 can apply for the updated Second Business Opportunity program, with a focus on women and the digital economy. dikaiologitika.gr.

The aim of the program is to give former entrepreneurs a second opportunity to return to the labor market. The grant lasts 12 months with a 3-month commitment and the grant amount ranges from EUR 12,000 (for a sole trader) to EUR 24,000 (for a company with three beneficiary partners).

After completion of the 3-month commitment, the duration can be extended by 12 months and the total grant will vary from 20,000 to 36,000 euros, upon request.

It is noted that the program has become more flexible, targeted and attractive:

  • At least 40% of vacancies will be occupied by unemployed women.
  • People with disabilities and women who are victims of gender-based violence receive 60% more points.
  • Companies in the digital economy receive 40% more points.
  • Co-location is allowed in business incubators (business incubators), coworking spaces (coworking spaces) and other enterprise support structures, as well as internal management of digital business.

Registered unemployed persons who meet all of the following conditions are considered beneficiaries:

  • ceased operations in the period from 01/01/2012 to 12/31/2021,
  • did not transfer their business or share of a company owned by spouses or persons of the first and second degree of kinship,
  • did not carry out any professional/business activity from 01/01/2022 until the publication of the ministerial regulation and paid a monthly contribution of 10 euros to the special account for unemployment for at least 1 year or regulated it and are aware of the conditions of regulation.

Unemployed ex-entrepreneurs who have not started a new business can also apply for the program, provided that after receiving notification of a positive assessment (pre-approval) of their OAED business plan, they file documents with the tax office within two months.

The total budget of the program is 48,000,000 euros.
