After the problems created by the pandemic, the organizers of the event hope that the mushroom pickers will be able to return to “normal life” and do their favorite thing between March 1 and October 31, 2022.
Alternative tourism, “quiet hunting” for mushroom picking, offers not only the joy of walking through the forest, searching for and discovering such a natural treasure as a truffle, but also getting acquainted with cultural events dedicated to this (including tasting delicious mushroom dishes) .
Combined with learning about mushrooms and truffles, which comes from visiting the Natural History Museum of Meteora and the Mushroom Museum, this is an interesting and extremely enjoyable experience. in.gr.
The truffle hunt is organized by the museum in the forests of Meteora. Organized groups, schools, as well as individual visitors can participate in it. Those who wish can enjoy “quiet hunting”, which this year is offered in two versions: classic and Privé Premium with additional features.
The program lasts about 3 hours and includes:
Truffle hunting with specially trained dogs. Cooking truffles and feasting in nature. Museum visit and excursion.
