Greece cancels cultural events with the participation of Russian organizations

Lina Mendoni, Minister of Culture and Sports of Greece, announced the cancellation of events involving Russian cultural organizations.

Ms Mendoni has given instructions to suspend any holding, collaboration, planning or discussion of events with Russian cultural organizations, the ministry said in a social media statement.

The statement clarifies that the canceled, including the already postponed Opera Gala event, scheduled for Thursday, March 3, as well as the broadcast of the performance “Swan Lake”, as part of The Bolshoi Ballet Live from Moscow cycle, on Sunday, March 6, at the Athens Concert Hall Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall.
