Greece sends defense weapons to Ukraine

Two transport planes C-130 of the Greek Air Force, with Kalashnikovs and rocket launchers, fly to Ukraine today.

One transport aircraft took off at 12:40, the scheduled takeoff time of the second one is 16:00. Both of them will land in Poland, which borders Ukraine, and then the cargo will be sent to its destination.

In the cargo compartment of the first aircraft – body armor, Kalashnikov assault rifles, rocket launchers. In the second C-130 humanitarian aid – water, food, medicines, blankets. This aircraft will be escorted by Nikos Hardalias, Deputy Minister of Defense of Greece, reports newsbreak.gr.

Our publication previously reported that the Medical Association of Athens (ISA) send to Ukraine medicines and medical supplies. These are 20 boxes of medicines and sanitary and hygienic materials that will be sent to healthcare institutions in order to rescue victims of hostilities in Ukraine. ISA President and Governor of Attica G. Patoulis checked the readiness of the ISA initiative group and the Attica region.

The Communist Party of Greece urged to stop the delivery of weapons to Ukraine, as by doing so the country is drawn into the war. A statement from the press service of the KKE states:

“By sending military materials to Ukraine on NATO orders, the New Democracy government is increasing the country’s involvement in an imperialist war that is developing on an unpredictable scale and with great danger to the people. The country’s armed forces have nothing to do outside its borders, and Greek territories, infrastructure and resources cannot be used as springboards for military operations, as is the case with the military bases at Alexandroupolis and Stefanovikeo.” Editor’s note: From day one, the mainstream Greek media have been instructed to show information in a certain way, completely ignoring any attempt at alternative information. A lot of fakes and false information is an example of this. Now Greece is sending “aid”. Help in the form of weapons of one of the warring parties. Are comments needed?
