Advisor to the President of Ukraine: Russian saboteurs wanted to blow up Chernobyl

Advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak said that control over the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was lost, and now it is not known what happened to the nuclear waste storage facility.

“After a fierce battle, our control over the Chernobyl site has been lost. The condition of the facilities of the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant, confinement and storage of nuclear waste is unknown. After the absolutely senseless attack of the Russians in this direction, it is impossible to say that the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is safe. This is one of the most serious threats to Europe today,” Podolyak wrote.

Several Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups wanted to commit a terrorist act at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Mikhail Podolyak reported.

“It is clear that Russia does not just want to overthrow the government in the country or replace it with any puppet executors. It wants to cause maximum destruction in Ukraine and even ecological destruction,” the head of the OPU believes.

Earlier, the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko, said that the Russian military had entered the zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant from the territory of Belarus.

“The National Guard, guarding the storage of radioactive waste, entered into battle with the enemy. If the storage of nuclear waste is destroyed as a result of the artillery strikes of the invaders, then radioactive dust can cover the territories of Ukraine, Belarus and countries EU“, – wrote he.

President Zelensky went further by tweeting:

Russian occupational forces are trying to zahopit #Chernobyl_AES. Our defenders are trying to live so that the tragedy of 1986 does not happen again. Let me know about you @SwedishPM. Tse goloshennya wars of all Europe.

“Our defenders give their lives so that the tragedy of 1986 does not happen again. This is a declaration of war on all of Europe.” wrote head of Ukraine.

However, the most unique statement made on air Radio NV former Deputy Chairman of the SBU Viktor Yagun.

According to the former head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Russian troops in the Chernobyl zone and near the Gostomel airport should create conditions for the capture of Kiev and blackmailing Europe.

“At this moment, there is a battle for the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. At that moment, the battle for the Gostomel airport was going on, where, as I understand it, they hoped to capture it and begin to receive heavy landing aircraft in order to, if not capture, then surround Kiev. None of this worked. Chernobyl for them will become what it is – the grave where they will stop, ”said Yagun.

PS Do you happen to remember who promised there drop a “dirty” bomb on the Kremlin?
