Novavax Vaccine: why the vaccination platform is not opening

As Marios Themistocleous noted at a briefing on the progress of vaccination against coronavirus, the electronic platform for registering for the Novavax vaccine is not yet open.

“We still don’t have a firm delivery date for the Novavax vaccine, so we are not opening up the platform,” said the Secretary General of Primary Health Care. More than 20,000,000 vaccinations were given on Monday, February 21, according to Mr. Themistocleous.

More than 7,837,000 citizens have been vaccinated with at least one dose. This corresponds to 74.6% of the general population and 84.3% of the adult population.

The corresponding averages in the European Union are 74.9% (general population) and 85.4% (adult population).

Also, 7,500,000 citizens were vaccinated, which corresponds to 71.3% of the total population and 80.3% of the adult population. Corresponding percentages (on average) in EU make up 71.4% of the general population and 82.5% of the adult population.

The recipients of the booster dose are 5,828,000 people, which is 77.9% of the number of vaccinations. 5,260,000 vaccinations have already been carried out, and another 100,000 citizens have been scheduled for admission.

Of the 5,090,000 citizens who completed the vaccination seven months after the two-dose and three months after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson, 95.7% or 4,871,000 citizens were vaccinated with a booster dose, and only 4.3% were not vaccinated, reports ethnos.gr.
