A 22-year-old man in Larisa was mortally injured by the fall of a part of the fence of a destroyed house. The tragedy occurred on Sunday, at about 8 o’clock, in the city center.
A brick pillar collapsed on a young man, which held the metal gates of a long-abandoned house on Asclepius Street. According to larissanet.gr, it all happened after the guy left the bar next door, where he had fun with friends.
An initial investigation by the Larissa Police Department found that part of the convoy had fallen off, resulting in a young student fatally injured and dying. The fire department and ambulance arrived at the scene, but it was already impossible to help him.
The friends of the deceased could not recover from the untimely death of the man with whom they had just had fun. Only flowers and a lit candle now remind of the tragedy.
And how many such dilapidated abandoned houses in each region and each district of Greece? Does another tragedy like this really have to happen for the authorities to finally pay attention to this problem? As always, a rhetorical question…
