Sentenced to prison for murder convicted again, this time for rape

The Thessaloniki Mixed Jury sentenced a 39-year-old former convicted of murder and re-charged with rape of women to 20 years in prison.

As soon as he got out of jail last March, he raped a total of three women while posing as a police officer.

According to grtimes, the man was serving a prison sentence for the murder of a 58-year-old psychiatrist, which he committed with the victim’s ex-wife, with whom he had an affair. The life sentence to which the couple was sentenced was overturned following a retrial and a new Supreme Court verdict in September 2020.

Now, a citizen who has just been released from places of detention is accused of raping and robbing three women. What he was arrested for.

In his testimony, the defendant claimed that the witness in the case “asked him to go to her house to discuss a plan to bring drugs into the Trikala prison, where he was serving a sentence and was released on parole. In the apartment, with the consent of the lady, they had sexual intercourse “.

Further, the accused admitted that he had relations (for a fee) with two other women who wrote a statement against him. However, everything they say is not true, because they were prostitutes. The arrested man claimed that his “frank confession” was “knocked out” by the police using torture.

However, the court upheld his sentence.
