Vladimir Zhirinovsky is in the Moscow Central Clinical Hospital, where he was taken due to complications caused by a coronavirus infection. Many news agencies wrote that the LDPR leader stopped recognizing family and friends.
However, today, the newspaper reports, there is no threat to the life of the Russian politician, although he sometimes continues to breathe with the help of an oxygen mask. The best specialists are engaged in the treatment of the politician, consultations are held regularly.
On the hospitalization of Zhirinovsky in the Central Clinical Hospital with the omicron strain, the media reported on February 9. He was in critical condition, and it was decided to connect him to a ventilator.
The LDPR leader hid for two weeks that he had contracted the coronavirus. He didn’t show up for work. The employees were explained that the chief, for the purpose of prevention, decided to go into home quarantine and work remotely. The fact that Zhirinovsky had coronavirus was known to a narrow circle of people – personal guards, assistants and the head of the apparatus.
On February 12, Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov, who ended up in the same Moscow hospital, with signs of an acute respiratory viral infection, wanted to visit Zhirinovsky, but the doctors did not let him in.
According to the head of the press service of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Alexander Yushchenko, Zyuganov, by virtue of his position, is in contact with many people, and recently he had signs of a cold: “In order to eliminate any risks, preventively, on the advice of doctors, he was placed to the hospital,” Interfax reports.
