Referring to sources in the Russian capital, the Turkish Foreign Ministry, according to the Anadolu agency, denied the data that Russia is preparing an invasion of Ukraine, its head Mevlut Cavusoglu said:
“…There were different intelligence data on these issues, but Russian and Belarusian sources with whom Turkey was in contact denied this (“invasion” of Russia).”
The West accuses Russia of plans to escalate the situation, while Moscow categorically denies that Russia is not a threat to anyone, and such statements are specifically used as a pretext to place more NATO military equipment near Russian borders.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia does not create reasons for the escalation of the situation around Ukraine. According to the diplomat, the Russian Federation does not rule out that the hysteria promoted by the West is aimed at justifying Kiev’s sabotage of the Minsk agreements on Donbass.
Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov says that the US and NATO information hysteria is generously framed by lies and fakes.
