Poll: Greeks worry about economy, job availability and health

Data from the latest Eurobarometer study shows that the population of Greece is primarily concerned about the economy, work and health. Citizens of Greece, who took part in the latest Eurobarometer survey, complain, first of all, about the problems of the economy, the stability of work and the fight against poverty. The rule of law is offered by 39% of Greek citizens. “As people rightly point out, the defense of democracy is the most important European value. We cannot take democracy for granted. “Extremism, authoritarianism and nationalism today pose an increasing threat to our common European enterprise,” commented newly elected EC President R. Metsola.

As to how and whether the benefits of Member States are assessed EU, the majority of EU citizens (62%) positively assess their country’s participation (the second year the highest result since 2007), and only 9% say the opposite.
