The story of Elena, who survived the horrors of sexual slavery

The Greek publication protothema.gr told about the tragic life story of a girl from Romania, saying that thousands of young people from the former Eastern Bloc were locked in British apartments.

19-year-old Elena from Romania was looking for a better life in Europe. She met Briton Brian on the Internet. After a while, the girl thought that he was her “boyfriend”. And when he invited her to come to the UK, she, without hesitation, agreed.

The outcome of the “romantic adventure” was terrible. The slave trader (who he really was, looking for victims on the Internet) locked her in a West Midlands apartment and forced her to have sex with 20 or more men daily.

The victim of sexual violence was tortured, burned with cigarettes, beaten mercilessly. When the police found her, she was half dead, bleeding profusely. The doctors at the hospital gave her no more than 48 hours to live, her state of health was so terrible.

Her story is that of the two-hour BBC documentary The Sex Slaves Next Door, about thousands of former Eastern Bloc girls who are trapped in apartments across Europe and become victims of sex trafficking.
