Teacher under investigation for insulting a student in a skirt

The Greek Ministry of Education on Friday launched an investigation into reports that a high school teacher insulted a student for wearing a skirt to class.

According to media reports, the incident occurred at the Ilion Music High School in the western part of Athens on Tuesday, February 1. A teacher is said to have told a student that he was “a disgrace to society”.

The next day, the boy’s classmates came to school in skirts, and the girls in trousers and ties, to protest and express their support to a classmate.

They posted a photo on the social network under the slogan “There is no sex in clothes.”

The incident was first reported on Wednesday on the Instagram page of a solidarity group called We Stay Active.

The teacher reportedly did not go to school on Friday due to the investigation.

The “clothes have no gender” movement started in Spain.

The hashtag #LaRopaNoTieneGenero (clothing has no gender) was launched in November by math teacher José Piñas in November after his student was expelled from school and had to see a psychologist because he wore a skirt at school.

The unfair treatment a young man suffered at the hands of his school authorities prompted some of his teachers to create a support movement with the hashtag #ClothesHaveNoGender or #TarouhaDoNoGay.

Piñas was followed by teachers Manuel Ortega and Borja Velaquez when they saw their student being severely bullied for wearing an anime t-shirt and forcing him to take it off.

They state that they “have seen remarkable positive changes in student behavior since they started wearing skirts.”

Mikel Gomez, 15, even uploaded a video to TikTok to show support for Piñas students, which garnered millions of views and urged other students to see the challenge.

Well, what can I say, the Greeks, like the Scots, are not surprised by skirts as national clothes. And the youth is not surprised by the protests. Another thing is that this would not become another factor for the further blurring of gender differences and the imposition of homosexual ties, to which we have been so actively urged with every iron in recent years.
