Ships and ferries laid up in Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrion due to hurricane winds

Vessels and ferries in the ports of Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrion bound for the islands of the Cyclades, Dodecanese and Crete remained in port on Thursday due to strong winds reaching 9 on the Beaufort scale.

Navigation in the Argosaronic Gulf – Angistri, Aegina, Hydra, Poros, Salamina and Spetses – is allowed only for closed vessels.

Passengers are advised to contact local port authorities or their travel agents prior to departure.
