Additional military forces are being transferred from the US to Europe

According to media reports, about 2,000 US Army fighters on C-17 aircraft flew from the military unit of Fort Bragg (North Carolina) yesterday afternoon, February 3.

1,700 troops will be based in Poland, the rest will be stationed in Germany. At the same time, the arrival of the US military in Ukraine is not planned. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the European security situation called for such a move:

“President Biden has made it clear: The United States will respond to the growing threat to the security and stability of Europe. Our commitment to the Fifth Article (NATO Charter. – RT ) and collective defense remains completely unshakable. As part of this commitment, and in preparation for a range of possible developments, the United States will soon send additional forces to Romania, Poland, and Germany.”
