EOC theologian: Patriarch Bartholomew “actually acts against the Orthodox Church”

Protopresbyter of the Church of Greece Theodore Zisis, honorary professor at the theological school of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, says that Patriarch Bartholomew is acting against Orthodoxy in the “Ukrainian issue”.

In his opinion, the West, incited by the devil, seeks to de-Christianize the Orthodox East, writes edition of “Romfey”, who published an article by Protopresbyter Theodore. It says that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, a “political and ecclesiastical demarcation” was achieved between Russia and Ukraine, but:

“the cultural connection between the two peoples, as well as the church’s dependence on the Russian Church, was still preserved, which, unfortunately, Patriarch Bartholomew acts against, collaborating with the Western crusaders who ravaged Byzantium and desecrated Constantinople in 1204.”

According to the theologian, Patriarch Bartholomew “actually acts against the Orthodox Church, and the goal of the heretical West, instigated by the devil all the time, is to dissolve the Orthodox Church, that is, the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, and de-Christianize the Orthodox East, as it has already de-Christianized myself”.
