Those vaccinated abroad can register for a Greek certificate

Foreign citizens and residents of Greece who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in any of the 60 countries participating in the European certificate program can register on the online registry for a Greek vaccination certificate from February 1, Deputy Digital Governance Minister Georgios Georgantas told Parliament on Monday .

According to Georgantas, people who have received one or two doses of the vaccine in one of the 27 countries of the European Union or in 33 other countries can register on the platform. anagnorisi.emvolio.gov.gr (also available in English) for their certificates to be recognized in Greece. The platform can also be used by those who received two doses in Greece and a booster abroad.

Those who have received two vaccinations and want to get a second one in Greece can make an appointment through the same platform, the Deputy Minister told MPs.

To obtain a certificate, you will need:

Enter your personal passwords to access Taxisnet. Fill AMCA/P-AMKA/PAAPA. Enter your ID/Passport details in the box. (It is worth noting that in order to enter the data, the passport number of non-Greek citizens must be in the system. Otherwise, you need to go to KEP, where its number will be entered into the system, and then you can take further steps to confirm the certificate. Attach certificates or attestations that digitally contain your vaccination information and are issued in a Member State EU (EU COVID-EUDCC digital certificate) or in a third country for which COVID-19 certificates have been issued executive act of the European Commission.

After registration, if the criteria set by the national vaccination committee are met and confirmed through the app, you can:

get a national vaccination certificate; receive a digital certificate of vaccination against COVID-19; schedule the next booster vaccination.

The Greek certificate facilitates access to enclosed areas that are only open to fully vaccinated people. These include, among others, restaurants, theaters, entertainment and music centers. With a foreign certificate from countries outside the EU, this is much more difficult, since it is not checked by automatic verification systems.

People who have been vaccinated in a country other than the 60 countries included in the European Certification Program can apply for recognition of any valid vaccination certificates they hold at the Citizen Service Center (KEP).

Under Greek law, people over the age of 60 who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 face a fine of 100 euros for each month of not being vaccinated.
