A shocking incident occurred in a church located in the Ilioupoli area: according to available information, the priest was arrested by law enforcement agencies of the Attica Department on charges of raping a girl.
The Department for Juvenile Affairs, classified “top secret”, investigated the case within ten days after the child’s parents filed a complaint.
The priest was reportedly accused of committing an offense for at least five months against a minor in 2019. The girl at that time was 16 years old.
He made close contact with a teenager
The teenager was examined by a medical examiner, who issued her verdict. When the preliminary investigation ended, a warrant was issued for the arrest of the rapist priest, after which the police handcuffed him.
According to the information, the 37-year-old priest maintained very close contacts with the child’s aunt and it was through her that he met a 16-year-old girl whom he later corrupted.
According to the victim’s parents, their daughter gradually began to change her behavior: as if she was very frightened by something and refused to go to church for catechism (mentoring), which was carried out by a young priest.
The teenager eventually told her parents what really happened, and they immediately contacted the police.
Rapist priest, father of three
The police handcuffed the priest, who is the father of three children. The man is accused of sexual intercourse and abuse of a minor, pornography, etc.
In particular, according to ELAS, the detainee is accused of committing specific offenses against a 16-year-old girl.
The materials of the case were transferred to the prosecutor of Athens for the main investigation.
