Important news for immigrants living in Greece while waiting for a residence permit

Applications of immigrants (except for those who filed for exceptional reasons – εξαιρετικοί λόγοι) for the initial registration of a residence permit or for its renewal, which were submitted before 12/31/2020 and have not yet been considered, are considered considered,

without issuing a relevant decision of the immigration services, with the expiration date of 31-03-2022 (art. 139 of Law 4876/2021). The period elapsed from the date of application to 31-03-2022 is considered the legal stay of an immigrant in Greece.

Applicants must take steps to update their applications electronically by March 31, 2022.
