Snow will cover Athens on Saturday-Sunday, Thassos Arniakos promises

On Friday, Greece will be in the grip of the cold and, according to the latest forecasts, it will snow even in the center of the Greek capital. This was announced by meteorologist Thassos Arniakos, talking about the weather on January 22-23:

“Based on today’s meteorological data, it looks like it will snow in Attica this weekend and, in addition to the northern suburbs, it will also fall in the center of Athens. However, we are talking about snow, not heavy snowfall, although on some surfaces its depth will be noticeable, especially in the northern suburbs. A strong northerly wind will reach 8-9 on the Beaufort scale. The air temperature will decrease and will not exceed + 3-4°C on Sunday and Monday, in the north of the Greek capital the thermometer will drop to 3-4°C below zero. Based on the current forecast data, it seems that most of the snow in Attica will fall on Saturday evening and Sunday. There seems to be a short break towards Sunday afternoon and then snow again until Monday afternoon.”
