Material damage to the entrance and three parked cars was caused by an explosion by unidentified persons in Glyfada.
According to Greek law enforcement agencies, an explosive device went off near a residential complex (στην οδό Οινόης 64). Employees of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department immediately arrived on the scene.
According to information, as a result of the explosion, material damage was caused to the entrance of the complex, as well as to three parked cars, on which fragments of a metal door smashed to pieces fell. There is no information about injuries.
Reinforced police squads arrived at the crime scene, as well as representatives of the TEEM service (Тμήματος Εξουδετέρωσης Εκρηκτικών Μηχανισμών). The sappers collected fragments of the explosive device for their analysis. The investigation is focused on how the criminals planted an explosive device at the entrance to the complex, activated it and fled.
At the moment, the police are carefully searching the area, including viewing footage from CCTV cameras, to find out the movement of the intruders and identify them.
