Tragic car accident in Voula – brother of MP from ND dies

A terrible accident in the Athenian suburb of Voula cost the life of 45-year-old Georgis Monogios (Τζώρτζης Μονογυιός), brother of the Cycladic deputy from the “New Democracy” Katerina Monogiou. The tragedy occurred on the night of Thursday, January 13, shortly after 20:00 pm.

Ironically, only the day before the man bought a luxurious Ferrari and got behind the wheel of a car for the first time. His wife was in the passenger seat. For an unknown reason, the car, which was traveling at a low speed, first crashed into a pole, and then, having lost control, into a tree along Constantinou Karamanlis Street, near house No. 175, and caught fire.

Luxurious Ferrari turned into an amorphous mass. Monogios died, his wife is in the hospital. According to reader, Monogios’ car was followed in his car by his friend, who witnessed the shocking accident. He rushed to help and pulled the victim out of the driver’s seat before the vehicle caught fire. However, the injuries sustained as a result of the impact were incompatible with life – Georgis Monogios died before the ambulance arrived. How terrible was the accident, evidence from the scene of the tragedy.

George Monogios is the brother of Cyclades MP Katherine Monogiou. He became famous back in 2003, when he participated in the reality show “The Wall” of the Ant1 TV channel, hosted by Andreas Mikroutsikos. He was engaged in professional activities in Mykonos, where he owned a clothing store.
