More than 30 kg of hashish and a Kalashnikov assault rifle were found on a 57-year-old man who was arrested in the eastern region of Thessaloniki after an investigation by officers of the department for combating illegal drug trafficking.
This is a Greek citizen who is characterized by law enforcement agencies as “the main participant in an organized scheme for the import and circulation of drugs in large quantities.”
In the car he used, and in both houses, 29 bags of raw hemp with a total weight of more than 29 kg, four bags of processed hemp weighing 1 kg, as well as a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a magazine with 27 rounds were found. The ammunition was found … in a pillowcase.
The police also confiscated four mobile phones, a cash amount of 1,800 euros and an electronic precision scale for packing the “goods”.
