The measures that the Greek government intends to announce on Wednesday in connection with the spread of the Omicron coronavirus strain were discussed at the highest level today.
The authorities are planning to reopen schools on time, as Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized, but students will be given 3 self-tests per week instead of today’s two. Tomorrow there will be a meeting of the expert commission on the operation of schools from January 10 to make the scenario of their opening as safe as possible.
Edition Newsbeast notes that much more is foreseen given the report on how the past three days have gone. For example, the formula used now in schools will change: 50% + 1.
Official announcements are expected on Wednesday 5 January.
