A dangerous gang of juvenile delinquents arrested in the Kallithea area

In the southern suburb of Athens, eight members of a dangerous gang, all minors, were detained. However, their age did not prevent them from committing serious crimes.

Among the underage members of the criminal gang are 6 Greek citizens, one Syrian and two Albanians: two 16-year-old twins, two 15-year-olds, three 14-year-olds and one 13-year-old. Another one is on the wanted list.

The activity of juvenile criminals was stormy – robbery and theft, attacks with the aim of robbery on adults and children, violence. Among the victims is the 14-year-old son of the chief judge in Piraeus, from whom they brazenly took the phone. By contacting the police, the teenager was able to identify the offenders on Instagram.

Some members of the juvenile gang live in Kallithea, in connection with which the Security Department of Paleo Faliro, on whose territory the robbery was committed, turned to the Security Service of this area with a request for assistance in finding the criminals.

An investigation by the police security service led to the identification of the robbers and their whereabouts, with eight of them being prosecuted. They are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

The case was sent to the prosecutor’s office. The investigation continues, the police are checking the involvement of minors in other similar crimes. Two of the teenagers under investigation were recently detained again – for theft and threats against minors.

Members of the criminal group often posted images with knives and incendiary devices on social networks. They demonstrated their quality, bragged about the “booty” from theft, shared video clips of a famous criminal recently arrested for attempted murder with a knife, the newspaper said. newsbreak.gr.
