Three big changes to payroll accounting in 2022

Three major interventions in 2022 are expected to significantly increase the wages of thousands of private sector workers.

The minimum wage (covers 450,000 employees of private sector enterprises) from 01.01.2022 will be calculated in the amount of 650 euros, which now stands at 663 (an increase of 2%). Insurance premiums: Premiums for employers and employees, reduced by 3 percentage points, will remain in 2022. In practice, this results in a significant reduction in non-wage costs for another year.

The decrease represents a -1.79% percentage point for the employer and -1.21% percentage point for employees, with total contributions next year remaining at 36.66% from 39.66%.
