The Greek police services are conducting intensive checks across the country to take measures to prevent and limit the spread of the coronavirus.
A downpour of fines hit citizens and entertainment venues during checks by Greek police on Christmas Eve, Friday 24 December 2021, the first day of the new coronavirus measures.
In total, ELAS identified 657 violations, 7 people were arrested, and 13 companies were suspended. Among them are 2 famous nightclubs in Gazi, on Iera Odos.
Implementation plan pandemic protection measures was implemented in accordance with the plan of the Ministry of Civil Protection and ELAS. According to the headquarters, 1,722 inspection teams found 657 violations and suspended 13 companies.
In the course of the audit carried out in nightclubs on Iera Odos, four arrests were made, high fines were imposed and the suspension of the activity of an entertainment establishment for 15 days. It turned out that the QR codes of the visitors were not checked. In addition, many of the clients of the nightclub were found to have fake certificates of vaccination or previous illness.
