More than five kilograms of heroin and about one kilogram of cocaine were found on a 38-year-old man arrested in the Rio region of Patras.
During the investigation, it was established that the detainee organized a laboratory at home for the packaging and counterfeiting of prohibited drugs. According to the police, the officers of the drug trafficking investigation department, after assessing the information they had collected, arrested two men, 38 and 45 years old.
During a search, 445 euros in cash and two mobile phones were found on one of them, and five grams of cocaine was found on the other. When a 38-year-old man’s house was searched, on a plot of land and in a forest, law enforcement officers found more than 5 kg of heroin, about a kilogram of cocaine, a pistol with a clip, cartridges, as well as equipment for packaging and packaging drugs. According to police, the bulk of the drugs were placed in a plastic container, which the man hid in a forest in the Panagopoula (Achaia) area.
Those arrested will be brought before the prosecutor of the first instance court in Patras. The investigation is ongoing.
