A pensioner who turned his house into a weapons warehouse arrested

A 68-year-old pensioner from Serres could easily arm a small army as he turned his home into a “first-class arsenal” with all kinds of weapons and ammunition!

A 68-year-old man was identified and arrested on December 17 for possession of large quantities of weapons and ammunition. The detention was carried out by police officers from the Serres subdivision. The accused was taken to court because he could not tell where he got such a “warehouse”.

During a search of his home, in a village near Serres, the police found and confiscated:

3 pistols, 3 revolvers and 1 rifle 3 hunting rifles 5 pistols (and 3 gas) 1 small-bore rifle and 1 shotgun 2323 cartridges of various types and calibers 1 pistol magazine and 4 sniper rifles 11 knives, 1 dagger and 1 bayonet 283 pyrotechnic cartridges. …
