“The General Staff of the Army announces that in the morning hours of Thursday, December 16, 2021, an EPOP lieutenant who served in the military unit of Evros lost consciousness while serving inside the camp. A ward doctor made an immediate effort to help and he was rushed to Soufli hospital where he was pronounced dead. The causes of the incident are being investigated. The General Staff of the Army expresses its sincere condolences to his family.
