The first case of the use of monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of coronavirus in a woman who is in the third trimester of pregnancy was carried out at the Serres hospital.
Director of the medical service and obstetrician Dimitris Balaxis announced this during a press conference. To carry out the procedure for the introduction of monoclonal antibodies, a special procedure is followed.
The pregnant woman has mild symptoms of coronavirus and is being treated at home. Doctors monitor the patient’s condition.
The head of the hospital’s vaccination center, Ms. Fani Marcu, said that from Saturday, December 18, new vaccination lines for children aged 5 to 11 will be opened, which will be carried out by pediatricians.
Even children who have already been ill can be vaccinated for greater protection, Ms Marku said.
