Greek Cypriot arrested for the Greek flag in Famagusta

A 44-year-old Greek Cypriot was arrested for attempting to hang a Greek flag at the Ataturk monument in occupied Famagusta. He was charged with “indecent behavior”.

Turkish media outlets such as report on the prevention of “provocative actions”. The police handcuffed the man after complaints from citizens and took him to the department.
