The case of the abduction of a 33-year-old foreigner involving two minors was investigated by the police in Thessaloniki.
Two 17-year-olds and a 31-year-old man were arrested on charges of kidnapping a foreigner, transporting him to Perea (Thessaloniki) and demanding 2,000 euros from relatives for his release.
According to the police, the man illegally entered Greece and, while on the Kavala-Thessaloniki national road, was abducted by the arrested person and his, still unknown, accomplice. The criminals took the foreigner to the Perea area, where two teenagers used violence against him and extorted ransom from his wife and relatives.
The officers of the Department for Combating Crimes against Life and Personal Liberty of the Police Department of Thessaloniki, with the assistance of the OPKE police officers, found the place where the perpetrators were holding their victims and arrested them.
A case was initiated against the detainees on the facts of kidnapping, extortion and illegal use of weapons.
