The World Health Organization declares insufficient data to assess the real danger of the new Omicron coronavirus strain. This was reported by the press service of the organization on Sunday:
“It is not clear yet if Omicron is more transferable” compared to other options, including Delta.

“Preliminary evidence suggests that hospital admissions are on the rise in South Africa, but this may be due to an increase in the total number of people infected, rather than the result of a specific Omicron infection.
