A new study claims Athens is the sixth brightest city in the world. A study by Feel Good Contacts UK identified the world’s brightest cities by analyzing average daylight hours, light pollution levels, and artificial brightness levels in 50 capitals to get an overall brightness rating out of 10.
Athens scored 4.58 points and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia got 7.11 points.
The darkest city in the world is Bogota in Colombia, where the sun shines for just over 3.5 hours a day, and the brightness of artificial lighting is one of the lowest.
