A fine of 100,000 euros and confiscation of counterfeit goods in the center of Athens

A warehouse in the center of the Greek capital came to the attention of the audit authorities. As a result of his visit for the purpose of verification, thousands of items of counterfeit goods were seized and a fine of 100 thousand euros was imposed.

As reported by ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ, the information was obtained from the service market control unit ΔΙ.Μ.Ε.Α. Ministry of Development and Investment. It was found that counterfeit products were distributed from a warehouse located on Sofokleous Street – chargers for mobile devices, toys, accessories, perfumes.

During a warehouse inspection, thousands of counterfeit items were confiscated and placed on a ΔΙ.Μ.Ε.Α truck. and taken to a recycling station in the Athens municipality. The company was fined an impressive amount.

Ministry officially warnsthat such checks will continue in the future, throughout the country and on a regular basis.
