A tourist bus in Bulgaria got into an accident tonight. Among the 45 killed there are 12 children.
As the BGNES agency reports, referring to information from the head of the fire service, the traffic accident occurred at about 03:00 on the Sofia-Blagoevgrad highway:
“On the 31st kilometer of the highway there was an accident with a bus carrying 52 people, as a result of which a fire broke out. 45 people were killed. “
As a result of the accident, only five men and two women survived, who were taken to the hospital and hospitalized. According to NOVA News, there were one more passengers, 53 people, and the death toll was 46.
According to the initial, not yet officially confirmed, information, a tourist bus crashed into a road fence and overturned. Passengers were trapped in a bus on fire.
The vehicle had a Macedonian registration. The identities of the victims have not yet been identified, but Zoran Zaev, Prime Minister of North Macedonia, has already expressed condolences over the deaths of his fellow citizens. Traffic on this section of the motorway is temporarily restricted due to a burning bus.
