Son-in-law and father-in-law die from coronavirus a few hours apart

The stories of family tragedies in the era of a deadly virus pandemic are shocking. It has just become known that in one Greek family a son-in-law and a father-in-law passed away with a difference of several hours.

First, his 75-year-old father-in-law fell ill, and then his 59-year-old son-in-law also showed symptoms of the disease. Both were hospitalized in the Volos hospital in serious condition. The older man was diagnosed with complications from the coronavirus last Friday and passed away. And right there, just a few hours later, during his funeral, the family was informed that his son-in-law, who had fallen ill, being unvaccinated, had also died.

Grief in families has become almost “common” in the era of rampant pandemic. People who choose not to get vaccinated are at great risk, but somehow they still continue to shy away from getting vaccinated. Alas, the deadly virus spares neither old nor small. Another tragic incident in Volos was reported by the Greek media.

A 38-year-old businessman died of the coronavirus, who, after several days of stubborn medical struggle for his life, still “left the battlefield defeated.” In particular, on November 21, a local businessman died in the intensive care unit of the Chalkida hospital, where he was on intubation.

The man was the owner of a workshop in Volos. It would seem that he had his whole life in front of him, with plans and dreams … However, the virus found its victim and finished her off. The entrepreneur was not vaccinated.

Despite hospitalization and treatment, the patient’s health did not improve. There were no licensed beds in the intensive care unit. Doctors sounded the alarm. In cooperation with EKAB, a search began for a bed, which, after considerable efforts, was nevertheless found in a specialized (covid) intensive care unit in a hospital in Chalkida.

According to taxydromos.gr, the man died yesterday afternoon, despite his young age and the efforts of doctors.
