Unvaccinated priests suspended from ministry

Believers on the Greek island of Zakynthos throw leaflets protesting against the decision of Metropolitan Dionysius of the Greek Orthodox Church of Zakynthos.

The Greek hierarch made a decision to remove fourteen unvaccinated priests from the ministry. Until now, the decision on compulsory vaccination against coronavirus has not been made at the official level, however, according to Orthodoxia.info, the Metropolitan took such a step in relation to the priests of his metropolitan district.

Not all believers agree with this decision, so they took to the streets in protest and scattered leaflets calling for it to be canceled.

Earlier our publication reported that in the Phokid Metropolitanate called on the Greek police to check how the temples comply with the anti-coronavirus rules set by the government.

They explain that the conversion was caused by the failure to fully comply with the restrictions by many parishes and priests, reports the publication “Romfei”. The Hierarch of the Greek Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Theokistos (Klukinas), of Phokides, addressed the law enforcement agencies of Greece.
