Construction of the floating ecological city of Oxagon has started in Saudi Arabia and will be completed in 2030.
The event was reported by Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. Neom said in a press release that the most innovative technologies will be used in the construction of the city.
It will be an octagonal, floating off the shores of the Red Sea, an ecological city operating exclusively on clean energy. At the same time, robotics and artificial intelligence will be used to equip it.
The Oxagon area will be 33 times the size of New York. Eco-city will become the most technologically advanced logistics center on the planet, with a modern integrated connection with airports and seaports.
The main idea of the project is to rethink the way of life and work in the future. Its authors want to demonstrate to the world a more sustainable alternative – a comfortable life in harmony with nature.
