Spokesman for the European Commission Peter Stano said that the EU will not negotiate with the Belarusian president to resolve the situation with migrants on the Belarusian-Polish border:
“He created this crisis, he brought these people to Belarus, lying to them that they could easily get into the EU, and they are on the territory of Belarus.”
Stano put the responsibility for the current situation and the fate of people on the leader of Belarus. “A group of about 100 migrants were arrested by Polish services. Belarusian law enforcement officers forced migrants to throw stones at Polish soldiers to distract them. An attempt to cross the border took place a few hundred meters away, in the vicinity of the village of Dubce Cherkievna. “
