The European Union does not plan to negotiate with Lukashenka about migrants

Spokesman for the European Commission Peter Stano said that the EU will not negotiate with the Belarusian president to resolve the situation with migrants on the Belarusian-Polish border:

“He created this crisis, he brought these people to Belarus, lying to them that they could easily get into the EU, and they are on the territory of Belarus.”

Stano put the responsibility for the current situation and the fate of people on the leader of Belarus. He is obliged to ensure access to them by international organizations so that they can provide the necessary assistance, as well as the return of thousands of deceived people back to their homeland.

The spokesman stressed that the European Commission plans to hold technical negotiations with UN agencies dealing with migrants and with colleagues from Belarus. The main goal is to facilitate the repatriation of refugees. And this work is, according to him, in the process.

An unprecedented migration crisis has been going on on the Polish-Belarusian border since November 8. Thousands of Middle Eastern refugees are in front of the border barriers in the hope of infiltrating the territory of the European Union. Polish security forces hold back the pressure by all available means. The European Union blames official Minsk for the incident.

As our publication reported, the flow of refugees from Africa and the Middle East wishing to get to Europe increased in the summer. Under their gun were the border lines of the Baltic countries and Poland. Sharp aggravation of the situation happened on November 8. A huge number of illegal migrants moved through the territory of Belarus towards Poland. They were accompanied by armed guards. The countries of the European Union, Great Britain and the United States called Belarus guilty of the migration crisis. They are ready to discuss sanctions against her and those who “contribute to the development of the situation on the border with Poland.”

The regime came into effect on November 10 state of emergency on the border between Lithuania and Belarus, as announced by the Lithuanian Seim. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation with illegal migrants. The regime will operate along the entire length of the border and on the 5-kilometer territory adjacent to it. A state of emergency has also been declared at the registration centers for migrants – in Medininkai, Pabrada, Rukla, Kybartai, and Naujininkai. While its validity period is indicated by one month.

On Wednesday evening, Polish security forces arrested about a hundred migrants trying to cross the border into Belarus, the Polish Ministry of Defense said:

“A group of about 100 migrants were arrested by Polish services. Belarusian law enforcement officers forced migrants to throw stones at Polish soldiers to distract them. An attempt to cross the border took place a few hundred meters away, in the vicinity of the village of Dubce Cherkievna. “

European Union countries, UK and USA called guilty in the migration crisis Belarus. They are ready to discuss sanctions against her and those who “contribute to the development of the situation on the border with Poland.”

Matthew Morawiecki, Poland’s prime minister, has warned that the EU will accept an influx of “millions” of migrants if border policies are relaxed. In an interview with the German tabloid newspaper Bild, he said that in the face of events on the Polish-Belarusian border, he did not rule out the danger of war:

“If we cannot prevent the entry of thousands of migrants now, hundreds of thousands, millions will soon arrive in Europe. If we do not resolutely defend our borders, hundreds of millions of people from Africa or the Middle East will try to move to Europe, especially Germany. ”
