Employees of the German company Boettcher AG, which is engaged in the wholesale of stationery, will receive 5 thousand euros each. But not all, but only those who managed to get vaccinated against coronavirus before the New Year.
Danilo Fraziak, Member of the Board of Directors of Boettcher AG, guarantees:
“Everyone who can complete a full vaccination by the beginning of next year will receive a bonus of 5,000 euros. Even if you are already vaccinated, you can also count on € 5,000. This is our most important concern: our employees must stay at work, and not get sick during the pre-Christmas period, when there is the greatest demand. “
The company assures that it respects the personal decision of each of its 550 employees, but wants to “really make employees think deeply about this topic.”
Thuringia, where the company is located (Jena), has one of the highest incidence rates of COVID-19 in Germany. The news caused a mixed reaction from the residents of the town. One of them commented:
“I don’t think money matters to those who don’t want to get vaccinated.”
But many call the attractive bonus “a good employee incentive.”
