Fines of € 122,900 for violation of measures – 9 companies closed

A total of 80,014 inspections were carried out on Friday by the competent audit services (EL.AS, Coast Guard, EAD, DIMEA, Sepe, Regions and Municipal Police). 391 cases of violation of epidemiological measures were registered.

Violators were fined 122,900 euros and 9 companies were forced to suspend their activities for a period of 15 to 30 days.

According to the National Transparency Authority, the main violations related to non-use of a mask indoors / non-compliance with distances, lack of document or digital placement of the maximum number of people allowed inside the store, and store operating rules, customer service in restaurants and entertainment establishments without a certificate of vaccination or illness from covid 19, travelers’ failure to comply with the PLF (Passenger Locator Form) electronic form.

According to the relevant announcement, “control continues throughout the territory with the main purpose of ensuring that the special operating conditions of the companies are met and that the focus is on areas of high commercial interest. At the same time, control over the implementation of measures for compulsory vaccination in health care structures and social institutions is being carried out. In addition, there is an intensive monitoring of the availability and verification of vaccination / disease certificates and tests carried out. ”

Judging by the number of inspections, this activity has again become the main one for the “competent audit services”, so we expect a sharp increase in crime, since the issue of combating covid violators has again become a priority for the Greek authorities.
