Quick and easy! Ruddy crunchy pies with juicy filling inside are what you need for a cup of coffee for a pleasant conversation.
10 slices of toast bread 1 orange and its zest 2 apples 40 gr. butter 50 gr. sugar 2 tsp starch 1-2 tbsp. l. lemon juice or water 1 egg
Let’s prepare the filling. Peel and cut two apples into small pieces. Remove the zest from one orange, peel it and also cut it into pieces. Preheat a frying pan, put a piece of butter and add apples, sugar, orange zest. Leave on the fire for 5-6 minutes, the apples should become soft. Add orange slices, dilute the starch in water or lemon juice and pour it into the apples with the orange, fry for a couple of minutes, so that the mass thickens slightly. Remove from heat and leave to cool. Trim the crust off the toast bread and roll out each piece. Beat 1 egg and grease the edges of a piece of bread, add the filling. On the side free from the filling, we make cuts, not reaching the edge. We fold the pie and press with a fork so that the edges are well glued. Put in a baking sheet and grease each pie with a beaten egg or melted butter. We bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. The pies are made with a juicy filling and crispy crust.
