The incidents took place outside the building of the Ministry of Climate and Civil Protection on Kifisias Avenue between firefighters and police.
The clashes took place several hours ago and, according to available information, 4 people were detained. Law enforcement officers used chemicals and a water cannon to disperse the demonstrators.

As the protesters emphasize, they responded appropriately “to events that directly affect the functioning of the fire brigade after a particularly difficult season this year”, while asking for the strengthening of fire brigades.
It is noted that at the beginning of the day, firefighters from all over Greece gathered outside the ministry building, asking for support. This is a gathering of protesters in professional uniforms, which was organized in consultation with the Panhellenic Federation of Fire Fighters’ Associations, the Panhellenic Association of Contract Firefighters and the Panhellenic Federation of Five-Year Commitments and Contract Firefighters.
