In recent years, more and more cases have been heard of thieves, instead of running with all their might when they were caught at the scene of a crime, attack the owners of the property on which they encroached.
The 20-year-old robber tried to stab the car owner when he noticed that the thief was trying to get into his car. The incident took place in the center of Thessaloniki. An emergency patrol arrived at the scene and arrested the 20-year-old offender. A criminal case was initiated against him, with which he was brought to the prosecutor’s office.
It all started when a burglar, accompanied by two of his accomplices, tried to illegally enter a parked car, according to a police report. However, his “body movements” were noticed by the 47-year-old car owner, who rushed to him with the aim of twisting the violator of the law. At this moment, the guy caught at the crime scene pulled out a knife and tried to injure the man. After he evaded attacks, the young man, pretending to leave, made a second attempt to stab the owner of the car.
As a result, the police received a call, and the officers of the DIAS team, arriving at the scene, arrested the robber, despite strong resistance.
