With the new mobile and tablet app, Greek citizens have the ability to store COVID-19 vaccination certificates, disease information or diagnostic certificates. The COVID FREE GR WALLET app was released today, Wednesday 3rd November 2021.
The app, created by the Ministry of Digitalization, greatly simplifies the storage and display of COVID-19 digital certificates, making it easier to control, the statement said.
These are exactly the same digital tools that citizens are already familiar with, as they use them with a variety of other documents, such as boarding passes and performance tickets.
The application allows you to store in it both the European COVID-19 certificate and the national one, as well as a certificate of illness or the results of a diagnostic test. Anyone can store certificates of any number of people – children, other family members, parents, grandparents, etc.
The application is available via the link on the website covidfree.gov.gr, as well as in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Simple use
To save a document, a citizen can either scan the QR code in the app or download it as a pdf file.
Immediately after that, the option “Save to wallet” (ΑΠΟΘΗΚΕΥΣΗ) appears.
