The World Health Organization has announced that it is safe to be vaccinated against influenza and coronavirus at the same time.
Sylvie Briand, director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Department of Epidemic and Pandemic Diseases, says in the WHO Science in Five Minutes program:
“Is it safe to give the flu vaccine and COVID-19 at the same time? Yes, we now have several studies that have shown that it is safe to use both vaccines at the same time.”
The specialist urged to consult with her doctor about the indications for vaccinations. She recalled that the symptoms of flu and coronavirus are similar – cough, fever, fever, muscle pain and headache. Many people, especially at a young age, complain about additional manifestations in the case of coronavirus – loss of taste and smell. However, not everyone has such signs.
